Laminoplasty

Laminoplasty is a surgical procedure used to treat spinal stenosis, a condition in which the spinal canal narrows and compresses the spinal cord and nerves. The procedure involves the removal of part of the lamina, a bony structure that covers the back of the spinal cord, to create more space for the spinal cord and nerves. The surgeon makes an incision in the back of the neck to access the spine. Laminoplasty has been shown to provide significant pain relief and improve mobility.
